Chimes Neighborhood

Why Chimes?

The Chimes Building features a bustling commercial/retail area, recreating an experience similar to when the building was first opened in 1929. This will allow commercial tenants to offer amenities for those living in the Chimes Building, and will feature a diner, a business center, a wireless store, and a credit union.

The Chimes Building is also located across the street from the Salt City Market, a global food hall housing 10 restaurants, a grocery store, cafe, and bar.

The Chimes Building is nestled in the southern edge of Downtown Syracuse, where the heart of Downtown meets the culturally rich South and West Sides. Downtown has always been a hub for shopping, the arts, nightlife, and great food, and features more than 200 local businesses in the span of 82 city blocks. Whether it’s ice skating in the winter or the Taste of Syracuse in the summer, there’s always something to do Downtown.
